Did VOICES launch a fundraiser campaign? 

YES. VOICES launched THE YOUCARING VOICES FOR PUERTO RICO FUNDRAISER CAMPAIGN and we need your support. The funds will go directly to RS Events for Life, a 501(c)3 organization located in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. The funds will then be distributed to local non-profit organizations located in rural and/or disconnected local communities affected in Puerto Rico by hurricane María.

Is the RS Event for Life a new fund?

No. RS Event for Life is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization, in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico that offers children in need support be for health issues, education or living conditions. The organization is also invested in helping control the overpopulation of stray dogs in the Island of Puerto Rico. 


Where is the fund going to specifically?

Funds will go to local non-profit organizations in rural and disconnected towns in Puerto Rico, who are working directly with the community to provide basic resources, including proven alternative solutions to housing, accessing solar energy as well as offering art, cultural and sports initiatives in an effort to promote emotional, physical and mental health.  

Below local non-profit organizations we have identified, already:

  • Niños  Nueva  Esperanza  in  Toa  Baja  
  • Taller  Salud in Loiza
  • Casa  Pueblo  in  Adjuntas

Can I donate items via VOICES? 

We are not collecting item donations via Voices at the moment.

What if I wish to donate items?
  
RS Events for Life Foundation, a non-profit organization created by actress and activist Roselyn Sánchez, is hosting The Hurricane María Relief Food + Supply Drive for Puerto Rico event in California. Supported by Voices for Puerto Rico—we ask to please donate water filters, canned food, protein bars, toilet paper, baby food, baby wipes, blankets, toothpaste, batteries, flashlights, emergency kits, and dog and cat food RS Event for Life Foundation is in the process of organizing the shipment to ensure it will reach Puerto Rico by boat or plane.  

Anyone interested in donating items (view approved list ) for those who suffered from Hurricane María, please join us on Sunday, October 1st, 2017.
